Hello, we’re a team of volunteers from Animal Rescue Granada, a dog shelter in Granada in the south of Spain.

The shelter has been operating since 2014. As you know, there are so many abandoned dogs in Spain in need of our help. That means in the last couple of years we’ve been looking abroad to be able to find loving homes for as many of them as possible.

So far, we’ve had a hugely positive experience working with an organisation in Belgium and another in Denmark, and we’d love to replicate that elsewhere.

Our priority is to build strong, lasting links with organisations, working together to find the perfect homes for the hundreds of dogs that come through our shelter every year.

We also hugely appreciate any financial support, as we have 30 dogs in the shelter and another 50 or so in foster care, that we pay the food and vet costs for.

We love helping these amazing dogs, but we really need extra support to be able to give as many of them as possible the loving homes they deserve.

Either through rescue missions or social media, which also serve as a platform for many asking for help, Animal Rescue Granada helps to re-home several dogs and cats and other animals everyday.

Some cases go directly from rescue to home, or are relocated from home to home. More difficult cases are rescue missions which many times need dogs to go to temporary foster care for special recovery before they can get adopted or go to the shelter.

Many rescue missions are emergencies, where dogs are in imminent danger and need to be taken to the shelter or a foster, where they are safe. This is also an important reason to find adoption as soon as possible in order to have enough space in the shelter.

We are a certified association in Spain nr. G19580257 operating not-for-profit.
